Sussex CIC launches innovative corporate workshops to help teams ‘build’ together
In Her Hands, the pioneering community interest company dedicated to empowering women and marginalised gender identities through carpentry, woodwork, DIY, and building skills, is thrilled to announce the launch of its corporate and team-building workshops. These workshops provide an opportunity for individuals of all genders to come together, learn new skills, and develop meaningful connections.
Taught and facilitated by a team of skilled instructors, In Her Hands provides a unique and inclusive learning environment. With the introduction of corporate workshops, the organisation is expanding its reach and impact, creating an environment where skill development and relationship-building go hand in hand.
Located in West Sussex, In Her Hands provides a welcoming and supportive space equipped with both hand and power tools, ample bench space, and expert guidance from skilled carpenters and makers. Groups will be able to take part in activities that include learning how to use a range of tools, spoon carving, building items such as vegetable planters, storage crates, bird boxes, bug shelters, and more. Georjie Adams, Co-Director of In Her Hands, commented:
"At In Her Hands, we believe that learning new skills and forging connections with others should be accessible to everyone. Our workshops offer unique opportunities for individuals to step outside of their comfort zones, collaborate with colleagues, and experience the joy of creating something together.
"We've seen the positive effects of individuals coming together outside their regular workspaces. It not only enhances their problem-solving abilities but also creates lasting bonds with colleagues they may not interact with on a daily basis. Our workshops are about more than just learning skills; they're about building a sense of community and empowerment."
In Her Hands provides a discounted rate for charities, non-profit organisations and small independent local businesses. Prices range from £75-£150 per person. To learn more or book a workshop, visit https://www.inherhands.org/privateworkshops.
