[Sarasota, FL] — [April 22, 2026] — New College of Florida’s Office of Research Programs and Services is proud to announce that Executive Director Dr. Elizabeth Bright has been accepted into the 2026 DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Germany Today program. Dr. Bright was selected from a highly competitive pool of international research administrators and higher education leaders. The Germany Today initiative is designed to provide participants with an in-depth look at the German higher education and research landscape, fostering bilateral cooperation and the exchange of best practices in global innovation. During the program, Dr. Bright will engage with representatives from leading German universities, research institutions, and funding agencies. The 2026 cohort will focus on building transatlantic partnerships through research, innovation, and academic exchange with Germany. “I am deeply honored to represent New College of Florida in this year’s DAAD program,” said Dr. Bright. “Germany remains a global powerhouse in research and development.
