Quantum Science to showcase the latest INFIQ® Quantum Dot technology

 at a leading industry event

Leading UK-based nanomaterials innovator Quantum Science Ltd (‘QS’) is set to share its expertise in cutting-edge quantum dot (QD) technology at this year’s ‘Quantum Dots: Material Innovations and Commercial Applications virtual event.

Following a successful online 2021 conference, Europe’s premier event for the burgeoning QD industry will run from 30 Nov – 2 Dec and is expected to attract interest from across the sensing, imaging, and smartphone markets, among others.

Quantum Science, creators of the patented INFIQ® QDs and QD inks, will be represented by Dr Stuart Stubbs, Product Director. He will take to the virtual stage to deliver a talk on using lead and lead-free QD inks to simplify solution processing for short wave infrared (SWIR) photodetectors.

Speaking ahead of his talk, Stuarts commented, “INFIQ® QDs have the potential to disrupt several multi-billion dollar markets by driving low-cost mass adoption of SWIR that is currently niche, expensive technology. Current absorber layer processing involves deposition of up to ten layers with ligand exchange performed on each layer. This is a complicated process and increases the likelihood of defects forming. INFIQ® QD inks uniquely allow the absorber layer to be deposited in a single step – a game-changing solution.

“I’ll be discussing the many unique advantages INFIQ® QD inks have that can simplify processing for a massive range of sensing and imaging applications and share updates on our leading lead-free QDs, which have the potential to be even more disruptive thanks to their reduced environmental impact.

“I am thrilled to be delivering this talk about how our leading INFIQ® QD tech prospers the future of SWIR sensing and imaging. Quantum Science is working to revolutionise the industry on not one, but two fronts, thanks to our high-performance QDs and our leading lead-free alternative QDs.”

QD has been the subject of keen interest from a range of industries, and as a leading player in the industry, QS has already received partnership proposals from several interested parties. QS delivers the talk following a string of recent successes, having inked international commercial deals and overseen a breakthrough in developing its leading QD inks and lead-free QDs.

Quantum Dots: Material Innovations and Commercial Applications is part of the TechBlick online event series.
