FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Catholic High Teacher Paul Lincicome ’03 Named a National 2026 FACTS Teacher Innovation Award Winner

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Feb. 26, 2026) — Catholic High School for Boys is proud to announce that Paul Lincicome has been selected as a 2026 FACTS Teacher Innovation Award winner, a national recognition that honors exceptional educators creating lasting educational impact through grassroots innovation in their schools.

The FACTS Teacher Innovation Awards were created to shine a light on creative teachers making a difference through bold initiatives, commitment to their students, and support of FACTS’ mission to make educational dreams possible through service and technology.

As part of the award, Lincicome will receive a $5,000 prize, and Catholic High will receive $1,000 to support continued innovation in the classroom. FACTS will coordinate an on-campus check presentation this spring.

Lincicome was recognized for his winning submission, “Solving History’s Challenges with Modern Technology: Reforming Student Relationships with AI.” In the two-week capstone project for Introduction to Robotics Engineering, students use AI as a creative research partner to identify and solve a historical problem by designing and 3D printing a functional part. Through structured checkpoints and reflection, students learn to use artificial intelligence ethically and thoughtfully, while applying engineering design principles. Lincicome’s project reframes AI not as a shortcut, but as a powerful tool for innovation, critical thinking, and responsible problem-solving.

“Paul’s work represents what we want for our students every day: rigorous learning, real-world skills, and formation rooted in faith,” said Head of School Steve Straessle. “He challenges our young men to think critically, act responsibly, and use technology in ways that serve others.”

Lincicome joined the Catholic High faculty in the 2009-2010 school year. A Catholic High alumnus from the Class of 2003, he teaches Robotics, Physical Science, AP Physics, and Religion and serves as chair of the Religion Department.

“Catholic High is proud to celebrate Mr. Lincicome’s leadership in the classroom,” said Principal Matthew Dempsey. “This award is a reflection of his commitment to his students and the brotherhood, and it will help us continue building meaningful opportunities for our young men.”
